Ellie Shea, a junior representing Belmont High in Massachusetts and Emerging Elites, took second to earn All-America honors at the Champs Sports Cross Country Championships at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif. Shea recovered from not finishing the 5-kilometer race last year to clock 16:55.1 and become the first female competitor representing Massachusetts since 2018 to become an All-American and help the Northeast girls lineup repeat for the first time since 1991 and 1992.
